hi,
As I was searching for the motivation of baire’s category theorem, I just came to this site and saw your proof .It was really constuctive , but now also I should say frankly could’nt make out what motivated baire to give such a statement.(its geometry behind).
Also as I read the motivation given by you of intermediate value theorem it’s really nice.
